Textile Pro CERTIFIED

Textile Pro CERTIFIED was awarded to Pressluft in 2012

Textile Pro CERTIFIED means that Pressluft completed the six-month intensive training program on oriental rug and fine fabric upholstery care and that we took the extra step of submitting case studies of “tricky” textiles. Our case studies included the complete process of inspecting and cleaning silk rugs as well as haitian cotton upholstered pieces.  ” Unlike other cleaning courses where “passing” requires taking a simple quiz, this is a certification program in the rug cleaning industry that is “hands on” and requires thorough documentation of every step of their cleaning process.” said Lisa Wagner, owner and developer of the Textile Pro School.  Certification also required submitting proof of insurance coverage for handling textiles at the time of certification.  Textile Pro Certified Companies are listed in a directory linked to the TEXTILE PRO Logo below.

What an honor it was for Pressluft to be selected by Lisa Wagner & Jim Pemberton for the Textile Pro challenge.   We are grateful for the continual technical training, new ideas and continuing support. We are thrilled to be recognized as Textile Pro Certified.

ABOUT LISA WAGNER

Lisa Wagner and her mother Kate own a successful rug cleaning business in San Diego, California.  K.Blatchfords San Diego Rug Cleaning Company.

Lisa Wagner is one of only three “hands-on” trainers in the US for oriental rug care, and author of the consumer guide “Rugs To Run From: A Rug Buyer’s Guide” to help consumers avoid buy the wrong rugs for their homes. She got into the rug world by being born into it – her mother is Kate. She is one of the company owners.

Lisa has made it her mission to take education about rugs to those who need the information the most: carpet cleaners (who often accidentally ruin rugs by cleaning them in homes instead of washing them properly), rug retailers (who may not be aware of flawed products they should not be selling), and consumers (who often don’t know what to buy, or how to care for their favorite rugs).

Lisa served 10 years on the board of the Carpet and Fabricare Institute, and served on the boards of both the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification, and the National Institute of Rug Cleaners Textile Council. She is the rug care columnist for the largest trade publication for the cleaning industry and instructs on the proper care of rugs from regular cleaning and repair, to handling rugs involved in floods, fires, and other disasters.
