I am Edd O’Donoghue, owner and founder of Pressluft. I am a graduate of California State University- Sacramento. My heritage is German-Irish.

Do you find the name Pressluft unusual? Pressluft is a German word “meaning compressed air”. We use compressed air to “dust” or “lift” out pounds of dirt from rugs. Not sure how to pronounce it? It is so easy, just say Press and luft (think lift)- we will be lifting all the dirt out of your rugs!

More About Us……Pressluft was founded 28 years ago.

Initially we cleaned commercial and residential carpets,area rugs and upholstered furnishings. As the demand for us to clean fine textiles (Wool Rugs, Silk Rugs and Cotton Rugs) increased we searched for experts in the region to send our rugs to be cleaned. Sadly, the results were poor. We noticed many, many rugs were cleaned improperly and were literally ruined by so called “Rug Cleaners”. Our passion for properly caring for our own rugs as well as our customers rugs, drove us to invest our resources to understanding rug construction, fiber identification and proper cleaning techniques.

Local Cleaning Plant

Pressluft is a family business located in Rocklin, CA. We clean and repair area rugs in our shop. Our facility is uniquely set up with submersion pits for rug washing, compressed air for dusting and a drying room where we can control the drying process. We clean Natural Fiber Rugs including Wool Rugs, Silk Rugs, Cotton Rugs, and Blends. We clean hand knotted rugs, woven rugs and quality machine made rugs. We never sub contract our work.

We take great pride in providing the best value and the highest quality of workmanship to our customers. We love what we do and we think you will too! You can trust that when we have your rug it will be properly handled, cleaned and or repaired.
